Picked!

I know someone who got picked!

Plymouth Flickr

On Flickr’s Places page for Plymouth at lunchtime, I was a featured photographer!

Jon Eccleston

That was a bit of excitement.

England Seiten!

I just enabled statistics and referral collection on my Flickr photos, and the most interesting thing has been that one of my photos was used on england-seiten.de for a while.

I know my photos have been used on a bunch of websites (and I’m totally happy, since all that I’ve seen always link back to the original gallery), and this new statistical view should be great for keeping tabs.

Weighted Refuse Collection Cube

When I got home from my work’s Christmas Party last week, there was a letter from Plymouth City Council concerning trash collection…

[...] we are introducing weighted reusable container bags [...]

Artist’s impressions of the weighted refuse collection cubes are here and here.

I love you, weighted refuse collection cube!

Y’know… The University Of Plymouth’s logo IS rather familiar…

Getting There

Tomorrow, I start my new job at Twofour Digital. On one hand, it’ll nice to be working and living in the same city, after commuting to Exmouth every day for the last two years. On the other hand, it was nice to be driven from my doorstep directly to the office, rather than having to suffer public transport which only goes half-way.

At least I get an extra hour in bed every morning. Man, it’ll be a long time before that novelty wears off.

As far as I can work out, the nearest bus stop to the new office is at the supermarket about a mile away. I suppose it’s no bad thing to have a brief walk twice a day, but I’m considering an A-Bike to help with that last hop.

Yo!

Dudes! I’ve rebuilt the blog with WordPress. You will need to update your RSS readers, though links to the older content are over in the sidebar. I, like, totally apologise for the inconvenience.

I created the FoxBoom! WordPress theme (imaginative title, non?) from the default supplied theme. The original was supplied until the GPL, so the FoxBoom! theme is too. I make no guarantees, but I’m open to feedback.

If you’re interested, the photo in the page header was taken at Charles Cross in Plymouth at around 1am on Sunday, January 28 2007.

We will shortly be returning to your normal sweary programming.
